In US news and current events today, Tennessee state representative Jason Hodges has a dire warning about the First Amendment threat posed by TN house bill 8005 in the Tennessee general assembly. The bill, created by William Lamberth in the wake of the Black Lives Matter protests and George Floyd protests, would effectively criminalize protests and protesting, putting protesters and their acts of protest in jeopardy despite the protections offered by the 1st Amendment.
